This policy explains what HeartsMoon collects when you visit the site or play the game, and why.

No account needed

You can read every page and play the game without an account. We don’t ask for your email address or any other personal details.

What the game stores and sends

  • In your browser: a random player ID, the name you type, the house rules you chose and your display settings are kept in your browser’s local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.
  • On the game server: the game connects to the game server when the page opens, to deal the cards. The server is run by our sister site Rare Pike (rarepike.com). Your player ID, your name and your moves go to it, and it deals the cards and runs the computer players. It may keep game records and win and loss counts by player ID. Other players at your table see your name.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to count visits and see which pages and game features are used. They use cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser; Clarity also records how the page is used (clicks, scrolling) so we can find problems. See how Google uses data and Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Advertising

The site shows ads served by Google AdSense, on the pages and sometimes between games against the computer. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google’s Ad Settings.

If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google shows a consent message the first time you visit, asking whether you agree to cookies and personalized ads. Ads that use cookies for personalization are shown only if you agree, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy link the message leaves on the page.

Children

The site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
